Due to the nature of Lingotalking, I'd like to inform you that you can change it every class. On the contrary,
if you want to take continuous and long-term classes with the same instructor, you can ask your instructor -
Lingco is a USD-based Lingotalking currency used to pay tuition to teachers.
1 Lingco equals 1 USD.
Our teachers come from all parts of the world, therefore Lingotalking holds your Lingco in digital wallets
first then pays the class fee in USD after the class.
If you want to see the purchase history of your Lingco, there are two ways of checking the history.
The first way is to go to the “My Purchase” tap in “Buy Lingco” page.
You will see how many Lingco you have left, and how many Lingco you have spent on the class.
The second way is to go to the “History” tap of “My Page”. As you can see from the image below,
you can check your purchasing history and Lingco history.
On this page, you will find out which class you have paid for.
And you can see what kind of payment was used at the time of payment.From “Lingco History”, you can see the spent Lingco and remaining Lingco. From “Purchased History”,your purchased Lingco will be recorded. -
In general, a typical telephone and video English services are not available for students to choose the teacher,
and the teaching materials are set, so it is usually necessary to purchase as planned.
But Lingotalking is a website where students personally check and choose their instructors, so no textbook is forced,
and there is no fixed textbook.
You can also consult with your chosen or matched teacher to determine the textbook.
However, there may be certain textbooks in some package classes with special subjects in the course -
The purchased Lingco will not be refunded.
Therefore, please check the teacher's profile and video carefully and make a careful decision before purchasing Lingco.
Your purchase of Lingco can be managed by you directly from your account and verified
at any time by Lingotalking's payment partners and security systems.
Your Lingco will last for one year and is always available in the period. -
Lingotalking reviews teachers' new certifications and applications individually before opening their profile on the site.
Lingotalking only accepts teachers who are expected to provide good language lessons for the students.
Students check the teacher's profile and other conditions to choose the teacher that best suits them.
When viewing the teacher's profile page, the following points will help you find an instructor that meets your needs.

After selecting the type of test for the purpose of your learning,
click on Begin Test to proceed with the test.Level evaluationCambridge's English language test includes the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,and they assess your English level based on CEFR).
CEFR is an international standard for language proficiency, which is assessed in six levels
from A1 (most basic) to C2 (very fluent). Your assessment will be displayed in one of six steps.

≫ An informal class is a type of class that allows you to practice speaking conversations with unformatted topics.
Occasionally you may feel that taking the course is excessive and you just want to speak the language
through a simple conversation. In that case, informal classes are an excellent choice.
You can book your informal class at any time of your choice from the teacher's schedule table.
The price depends on the teacher. The informal class does not require a tightly organized curriculum,
but it is a topic you want with your teacher, and it has the advantage of having as many conversations as you like.≫ Course classes are guaranteed .The course is beneficial to both students and teachers for the following reasons:A course class is a class type in which teachers and students book all courses at once, not separately.Most teachers can offer discounts to students who book course classes and can take more time withthe students to have more in-depth and individual.
If you are not sure about to purchasing course classes, please proceed to book your class individually.
Courses are an option, and many students and teachers want a way to buy and book multiple classes at once.
Courses are the best class type when you really want to book multiple classes with a certain teacher.
Most teachers offer a discount to students who purchase course. It’s good for students
– they get a cheaper price. It’s also good for teachers who can get guaranteed lesson volume.
If you’re not sure about buying a course, then continue with scheduling individual classes.
Course is offered as an option because many students and teachers want a way to purchase
and schedule multiple classes at once.
Courses are great when you’ve found a teacher that you like and want to schedule multiple,
on-going classes with the teacher, often at a discounted rate. -
When making a Lingco purchase with your credit card, you may have problems sometimes.
There are many reasons for a problem. If you are unable to purchase with a credit card,
please check the following methods:
≫ Please make sure that your credit card has overseas payment authority.
Lingotalking is a Korean based company
The amount you paid for your purchase of Lingco will be credited to our Bank in Korea.
For this reason, please check with your credit card issuing bank to see
if your payment has been accepted overseas.
≫ PayPal may occasionally refuse to accept credit card payments,
depending on the country of issue of your card. To make a payment,
please contact your credit card issuing bank for consultation.≫Turn off all webpages that might interfere with the purchasing process, or try another browser.If you still have problems with purchasing Lingco, please contact us via email.※Lingotalking can be paid by credit card or PayPal. However, in countrieswhere it is not possible to create a PayPal account, you can pay by credit card.

Sometimes you may experience up to 48 hours from "Lingco History" on "My Page" for purchased
Lingco from PayPal.
Unfortunately, this is a PayPal problem.
If you have more than 48 hours of payment processing, please contact us with the following information
-- Your Lingotalking ID and your PayPal email address (if you use PayPal).
-- Date and time of attempted purchase.
-- Purchase method/payment provider (PayPal, credit card, etc.)
-- The payment provider transaction number (from your invoice).
-- Amount of Lingco you wish to buy ( USD).
-- Country of purchase.
-- Other related information.A screenshot of the bank statement showing your Lingco purchase or sendingus a payment confirmation email from us will be a great help. -
If you find any teachers requesting payment outside of Lingotalking,please email us to report payment outside of Lingotalking is a serious violation of Lingotalking※Terms of Service. In addition, this behavior can be dangerous to students for the following reasons:≫ Risky : If you pay your tuition directly outside of the Lingotalking system,your teacher may not be able to conduct classes as scheduled. In such cases,Lingotalking cannot be held responsible for anything.
Lingotalking guarantees that the fee will only be delivered after you take a class and
have confirmed that class.
≫ Inconvenience: Lingotalking manages tuition payments and class schedules on site.
If you pay outside Lingotalking system, you will not be able to use Lingotalking schedule
system to keep track of your class schedule.
※Absence of Arbitrators: The teachers and student of Lingotalking may resolve the dispute
in accordance with the rules of Lingotalking if class hours or packages do not proceed as planned.
But if our staff can't see any records related to class in the Lingotalking system,
they won't be able to help you.
≫ Unable to post student feedback: There is no way to leave public feedback,
positive or negative, for classes taken outside of Lingotalking system.
For these reasons, as a student of Lingotalking, if you see any teachers who want to be paid
outside of Lingotalking or see the teachers looking for receiving direct tuition, please report to
Lingotalking immediately. The teachers will be removed from the Lingotalking Platform. -
The method of purchasing courses is consistent with the way individual lessons are purchased,
but there is a slight difference.
If you look at the details of the class you want to purchase, you can check the price and level of the class.
Please make sure that your requirements and classes match.
If you click the "Go" button on the Class Information page, a pop-up window will appear to schedule the class.
Enter your name and Skype ID first and then select the schedule you want. One thing to keep in mind is that
when you book a course, you have to reserve all the classes on the course at once. For example,
if a course consists of three classes, you must reserve three classes when you purchase this course and
book a class. (See image below).
- If you do not book all the classes on the course, the Lingco will not be paid.So don’t forget to book all the classes at once. If you want to change the schedule,you can directly contact your teacher.- Once your booking is done, your teacher will respond to your request and contact you through Skype -
In Lingotalking, when a student requests a class, a text message and an email will be sent to the teacher.When the teacher approves the class, an approval text is sent to the student.However, in case of change in class time due to unavoidable circumstances,≫ If 24 hours before class, you can contact your teacher directly via Skype to adjust class time.You should request a time adjustment at least 24 hours before class starts.Also, the confirmation of the class change will only take place if you and your teacher agree.Therefore, make sure that you fully discuss and reach an agreement with each other on the changes.≫ If your request is declined or with no response, then the class will take place at the originally scheduled time.If class starts within 24 hours, it is not possible to change class time, so please be aware of this

≫ If 24 hours before class, you can contact your teacher directly via Skype to cancel your class.Cancellation is only possible if both the teacher and the student agree and report to Lingotalkingwithin 24 hours of class start. Both students and teachers must request cancellation of classvia Lingotalking e-mail(support@lingotalking.com )≫ If neither student nor teacher found a cancellation request nor had enough conversation with each other,both students and teachers will be penalized by Lingotalking.So please try every way you can notify each other of the cancellation requests.

Lingotalking immediately so that the teacher will not be paid for the course.
Submit detailed circumstances and evidence (screen shots or message details) in the reported email.
After reporting the problem, the teacher will have seven days to answer it. -
If there is a problem with your lesson, you need to report:- What happened with your lesson or what's the problem with the class?- How do you want to resolve the lesson problem?Please report to Lingotalking including above. After you send the problem to Lingotalking, the teacher will have seven days to answer.- If the teacher agrees, then the problem will be resolved according to your request.- If the teacher disagrees, then this will be recorded as a "dispute" and enter "dispute resolution"- If the teacher does not respond at all, then the problem will be resolved according to your request.

If the other party declines your problem request and you cannot come to an agreement,then the class becomes a dispute.Lingotalking mediates disputes by taking a look at all the evidence and circumstances surrounding the dispute.Lingotalking makes their final decision based on supporting evidence including :Report class problem- Reported class problems submitted by the person who reported the problem.Messages and Chatting- In addition to reporting problems in class, Lingotalking will look at the messages and communication between the teacherand the students based on the evidence they sent.Who initiated the dispute?- Finally, if there is not enough evidence in class reporting and messages, priority will be given to the person who initiated the dispute first.If the above information is not sufficient, we will refer to the material outside of Lingotalking system(Skype Chat, Screenshots).Based on the above evidence, Lingtalking will mediate the dispute. The results vary depending on the specific situationOutcomes vary based on the specific situation. Lingco can be returned to students, given to teachers, divided between the two sides,or rescheduled classes.All of Lingotalking’s decisions are final.

Lingotalking allows you to reschedule classes on your own if your teacher and student agree.In some cases, you may have agreed to reschedule your classes, but your students or teachersmay not respond and your schedule may not be fixed. In this situation,Lingotalking will take the following steps to end the class and distribute Lingco:When neither student nor teacher has offered a new time or date- Unless both the student and the teacher present a new time and date within seven days,the class will be cancelled and Lingco will be called off.It will be divided between students and teachers.※ Note : In the case of Lingco paid to the teacher, Lingotalking will charge a 15% fee as usual.If one party presents a new time and date but the other party does not respond,- If one side presents a new schedule but the other side has not responded to the requestand the changed class date approaches,he changed class application will expire andLingco will return to the person who suggested the new schedule first.※Note- If the student has presented a new schedule but the teacher has not responded:Lingco will be returned to the students and the teacher will have to pay 15% of the coursefee to Lingotalking as a penalty.- If the teacher has presented a new schedule but the student is not responding:Lingco is not returned to the student as a student is considered to have taken classes.

When requesting an end to a course, the Lingotalking system shall comply with the follow policy.depending on who initiates the end request, regardless of the reason for termination:Teacher initiates termination of the courseIf a teacher requested termination first, Lingco for one class will be deducted fromthe total Lingco of the completed classes. The deducted Lingco will be given to the student.For example, if the teacher terminated course after 5 classes completed among total 10 classes,the teacher will only receive Lingco for 4 classes. The Lingco for the rest one class will be givento the student.Students initiate termination of the courseIf a student asks to stop the course, the course will be charged one more time after class.An extra fee will be given to the teacher.For example, If the student wants to terminate course after 5 classes completed amongtotal 10 classes, the student has to pay Lingco for 6 classes. Among those amounts,Lingco for one class will be given to the teacher.If both the student and teacher agree with the termination, the student can say“I contacted my teacher and agreed with the course termination following the payment ruleof Lingco for each class.When there is a dispute over who started the course suspension first and students andteachers fail to reach a compromise, Lingotalking will mediate the dispute.Lingo Talking’s decision on the dispute is final.It is up to the students and teachers who are involved to submit evidence to appeal to their ownIf the student/teacher has not responded to the request for a course break for more than 7 days,please send an email with course information attached to Lingotalking to let us stop the course for you.

Before making your introduction video,check this guideline and create the best video!Self-introduction video is an effective way to promote yourself and attract the attentionof potential students in Lingotalking.For those of you who are new or unfamiliar with self-introduction video,I've compiled a list of things to check. Please check to the end and start making the video.This video consists of two parts: contents and quality.Part : Contents1. Introduction- Greet your students with a smile. You can start with “I’m Chris and I teach Koreanon Lingo Talking ” You can add more information like where you live and your personality.2. Language- Tell students what language you can speak and how fluent you are.You can also show your accent while speaking in that language.3. Teaching- Next, it's time to explain your teaching style. For example, give a student an overviewof how the class will be. What level of students can you take your classes?Tell students about a particular area (business, academic, test preparation, etc.) of excellence.Then you will see what students can get from your classes.4. In closing- Please say goodbye to the students watching your video and encourage themto listen to your classes. And please say thank you for watching the video.Part : Quality of video.1. Length- Please make sure that self-introduction video is not too long because it is a simpleand effective way to show you.A length of between 1 and 4 minutes is enough.2. Background and Layout- Keep the background of the video as clean and simple as possible.A neat background helps students who watch videos focus on you..Please making the video that it is horizontal, not square or vertical.And avoid wearing clothes that are the same color as the background.3. Script- You're probably film a video with a script.The most important thing is to look natural.Don't just read the script like you're reading a book, but film it naturally as if you're talkingdirectly to a student.4. Video Quality- We recommend that you take high definition camera quality when filming.Webcam is not a recommended option because it has a low resolution.The video quality should be at least 480p, and the equipment should be properly securedso that the video does not shake.5. Lighting- Lighting is a very big part of filming. Adjusting the light can change the mood of the image.Use proper lighting to make your video look bright and clear. Dark and dim lights won’tmake your video attractive.6. Sounds- When you film a video, using a microphone will be the best but if you don’t have it,we recommend you to shoot indoors. Your clear voice is the most important.Minimize external noise that can reduce the quality of the video.And it doesn't look professional to shoot with headphones on, so please refrain from doing so.So far, we've given you tips on creating good content and quality self-introduction videos.One last thing! Don't be too nervous in front of the camera.Don't forget to smile!Make a video that shows your passion and professionalism.

Class booking is only available on Lingo Talking.-Any commercial promotions or advertisements.-Forging your degree or using other people’s educational information.Your introduction is to show your ability as a language teacher.Please do not use it as other platforms not related to language teaching.How can I edit my Self Introduction?-It’s very easy to change your introduction.
