Hello! I'm Teacher Jaquita. I live in Texas! One of the biggest states in the United States. My family and I live in a large apartment. We have a small family business which keeps us busy. I graduated at the top of my class at Georgia Southern University. I have a a Masters Degree in Education and a TESOL certificate. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have been teaching students for over 5 years in my class. I also teach young children at my work. Learning with me is fun and new each day. I love to make my students smile and laugh. When I am not teaching my amazing students, I am spending time with my husband and our children. My daughter is 8 and my son is 10. We love to go to museums and play at the park in the summer. In this lesson, students will learn the meanings of common English idioms. Idioms is a course that fosters English as a Second Language learners’ comprehension of common idioms used in the English language. Students will be engaged in an interactive process as they learn to read and interpret idioms. Students will learn through repetition and will be given an assessment to gauge learning at the end of the class. Students will receive direct instruction, guided practice and independent practice.
