My name is Jon and I am from Canada, but I have lived almost half my life in other countries. I have spent over 10 years teaching English as a foreign language at elementary school, junior and senior high school, and in private lessons in Japan, Germany, Indonesia, and the US.

I have a Bachelor's degree in linguistics and a TEFL certification.

In my free time, I like to jog, play video games, and play guitar. I am also a certified scuba diving instructor!

I have taught English to all ages, from young children to retired people who wanted better English for when they travelled abroad.

And I have taught all English levels, helping everyone from complete beginners to nearly fluent English speakers to improve their English.

I have taught business English, academic English, conversational English, and helped students prepare for standardized English tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC.

I have even taught people how to use English slang properly.
